Thinking lately about how busy, tired, focused, overwhelmed, motivated, driven, and distracted people seem to be, and how lost, isolated and alone many feel, I ponder how to create change. In a world so ‘connected’ it’s fascinating and frustrating that people can be, or feel so alone.
It is easy to forget how important and challenging it is to simply be human. This human journey is difficult for spiritual beings. Listening and sharing stories has profoundly impacted my life. It has led to human connection with individuals and conditions. Those connections...shared ideas and experiences have brought acceptance of self, and compassion for others. Stories have enriched my life in ways unimagined.
Recognizing the interconnectedness of humanity irrevocably changed my understanding of this life. It altered my perspectives and enlightened my goals. Stories have paved a path to empathy and peace. Perhaps storytelling… perhaps simply being human together is the way to share an understanding and promote peace.
